Random stuff and photos

Last weekend we had some very hot days, so I took the girls out to the park to swim in the 'man made' beach/pool. They really love to swim, and I love the heat! Perfect combination!

Here are a couple of photos to share! Notice how I edited some of them? I've been having fun with the new techniques learned from Jessica Sprague's free photo editing classes!

They started digging a big hole and within 10 minutes, were joined by about 6-7 boys.

Sara got under the big bucket while it dumped water on her head.

Then got a big 'high-five' from her sister.

Emilee being silly with the camera.

The best thing about the beach? The snacks we take along.

Peggy's Cove

WE decided yesterday to take an impromtu trip out of town. We went to Nova Scotia and visited Peggy's Cove and Lounenburg. Those are such pretty places. And, of course I took lots of pics!

I'll just share with you a couple of pictures from yesterday, then I'm heading to bed. (gotta work in the am).

I found a new friend

This is my final post for June and it's hard to believe that June is over!

Now on to my new friend!

A few days ago, I was browsing through blogs again...because...well, I'm not studying and I need to do something to pass the time right?

I discovered this BLOG - Coffee Tea Photography .

This was the blog that introduced me to my new friend.

I found, on this blog, a link to download a 30 day trial of Photoshop Elements!

So, I downloaded it.

It was a little intimidating at first, but the blog has some really great tutorials on how to do a lot of fun effects on photos!

And...I've been playing around with things a bit - that's why you see a new header on my blog.

So, I'm going to play with my friend some more, and don't be alarmed if my blog starts to look different from day to day. lol

Btw, after the 30 day trial...I'm buying!
